Acura Takes Top Manufacturer Honors For Record 8^th Season

The RealTime Acura team knew it was all on the line when they left Wisconsin for the sunny skies of California for the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship finale at the Monterey Sports Car Championship.  It is under pressure that the RTR boys work best and they responded with a spectacular end to the season.

The RealTime Acuras headed south to Road Atlanta for the penultimate round of the 2009 SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship with its objective clear: Score maximum points in an attempt to retake the Manufacturers' points lead. A race win wasn't in the cards for the Acura squad but they beat their closest competition to halve the deficit from two points to one-effectively forcing the championship to a winner-take-all decision at the season finale in less than two weeks time.

Acura's Road America Win Tightens Chase

Pierre Kleinubing led the RealTime Acura team this weekend with his first SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship checkered flag since the 2008 season opener. In the 16 races since then, the four-time Touring Car champion has stood on the podium an impressive 10 times, just not on the top step. The win, the second for the all-new 2009 Acura TSX, was not only timely, but also hugely popular, because of the large contingent of friends and family in attendance at Road America, RealTime's home track.
